2015 Bags of Blessings (BOB) Project
Giving back to the community
A total of 500 families from Taguig were the beneficiaries of the 2015 Bags of Blessings (BOB) Project of the Metrobank Group and GT Capital Holdings, Inc. through GT-Metro Foundation (GTMF) and Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI).
The distribution of food packs was held at the Cayetano Sports Complex coinciding with the celebration of Chinese New Year.
The 500 families were among the 10,000 indigent families chosen from DSWD’s Pantawid Pamilya Program (4P’s).
The BOB was first implemented in 2011 by Metrobank founder and Group Chairman Dr. George S.K. Ty with its mission to give back to the community.
The 2015 Bags of Blessing is being carried out with the support of DSWD, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Archdiocese of Manila, Diocese of Cubao, Archdiocese of Palo, Diocese of Borongan, Archdiocese of Zamboanga, Diocese of Butuan, and Air21.
Metrobank Group Vice Chairman Dr. Antonio S. Abacan Jr., Metrobank Foundation Executive Vice President Elvira Ong Chan, Federal Land Inc. First Vice President Atty. Serge Iyog, Philippine Army-Civil Military Operations Group (CMOG) Commander Col. Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos, Metrobank Foundation Asst. Executive Director Irene Labitad, and Taguig City Economic Investment Promotion Officer Jorge Bocobo led the distribution of food packs.
