TAGUIG CITY COVID-19 BULLETIN No.8


 

CASE UPDATE

– As of 6PM today, March 15, 2020, there are a total of 140 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. Most of these cases are in the National Capital Region (NCR).

– 11 deaths have been confirmed in the country, 7 of which are from the NCR.

– There are 3 new confirmed cases in Taguig City bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4.

– All 4 cases in Taguig are in hospitals where they are isolated and being treated.

– The City continues to implement strict measures to curb the spread of the virus. CEDSU and DOH have actively pursued contact tracing on all cases. All areas relevant to this contact tracing have been thoroughly disinfected and secured. The City is continuously working with all stakeholders to protect everyone.

CURFEW
– A curfew is now being strictly imposed in the City from 8PM to 5AM, except for essential travel like going to and from work, addressing emergencies and buying basic supplies.

MALLS
– All malls in the City are closed to limit movement and minimize congregation. However, establishments that provide essential services like supermarkets and groceries, drugstores, banks and restaurants that provide takeout and delivery services should remain open.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
– All offices and establishments in the City shall make a social distancing plan for their spaces, adhering to the Department of Health guidelines of 1-meter distance for all customers and employees. Those who cannot comply will be asked to temporarily close, until they are able to comply.

– For elevators, lines and waiting areas, social distancing will be strictly enforced. All building managers are enjoined to strictly comply or temporarily close until they are able to comply.

– For public transportation, we will strictly implement the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) regulation for public utility vehicles (PUVs) to be disinfected as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of COVID-19. Through Memorandum Circular 2020-005, the LTFRB required PUV operators to properly sanitize their fleet before deploying vehicles including jeepneys, tricycles and buses.

SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD PASSES 2 KEY LEGISLATION
-In a special session this afternoon, the Sangguniang Panlungsod duly approved and unanimously passed two key legislation adopting the resolutions of the Metro Manila Council in order to stop the spread of COVID-19: (1) close malls and similar establishments and (2) impose an 8PM- 5AM curfew in the City of Taguig.

– We remind our citizens to stay home as much as possible and and avoid unnecessary travel. The Local Government and National Government are working closely in an all-of-government approach to keep our City and Country safe. We appeal to everyone to cooperate and be vigilant.

CASE UPDATE

– Ngayong 7:45PM, March 15, 2020, merong kabuuang 140 na kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas. Ang malaking bilang nito ay matatagpuan sa National Capital Region (NCR).

– 11 na ang kumpirmadong namatay sa bansa, 7 nito ay nasa NCR.

– Merong 3 na bagong kaso sa Taguig City, kaya nasa apat (4) na ang may kaso ng COVID-19.

– Ang 4 na kumpirmado sa Taguig ay nasa ospital na kung saan sila ay nasa isolation at nilalapatan na ng kaukulang lunas.

– Ang lungsod ng Taguig ay patuloy na nagpapatupad ng istriktong hakbang upang masawata ang pagkalat ng coronavirus. Ang CEDSU at DOH ay aktibo na nagpapatupad ng contact tracing sa lahat ng kaso. Ang lahat ng lugar na kasama sa contact tracing ay sumailalim na sa disinfection at kaukulang seguridad. Ang lungsod ay patuloy na nakikipagtulungan sa lahat ng stakeholders para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.

CURFEW

– Ang curfew ay istriktong ipinatutupad sa buong siyudad mula 8PM hanggang 5AM, maliban sa mga may importanteng biyahe kagaya ng pagpasok sa opisina/trabaho, sa mga nagbibigay ng emergency services at sa mga bumibili ng basic supplies.

MALLS

– Ang lahat ng mall sa siyudad ay sarado upang mabawasan ang pagdagsa at pagsasama-sama ng mga tao. Subalit ang mga establisimiento na nagbibigay ng mga serbisyong kinakailangan kagaya ng mga supermarket, grocery, botika, bangko at restaurants na nagbibigay ng takeout at delivery services ay mananatailing bukas.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

– Ang lahat ng opisina at establisimiento sa siyudad ay kinakialangan na may hakbang para maipatupad ang social distancing sa kanilang mga lugar, tumatalima sa mga alituntunin ng Department of Health na 1-meter distance sa lahat ng customers at empleyado. Ang mga hindi susunod sa ipinatutupad na hakbang ay aatasang magsara pansamantala hanggang sa sila ay may kakayanan nang makasunod.

– Sa mga elevator, linya at waiting areas, ang social distancing ay istriktong ipinatutupad. Ang lahat ng manager ng gusali ay hinihikayat na ipatupad ito o magsara na lamang pansamantala hanggang sa makasunod na sila sa alituntunin.

– Para sa mga pampublikong sasakyan, istrikto ang pagpapatupad ng regulasyon ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) para sa mga public utility vehicles (PUVs) na sasailalim sa disinfection bilang precautionary measure upang pigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19. Sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular 2020-005, ang LTFRB ay nire-require ang mga PUV operator na i-sanitize ang kanilang hanay ng mga sasakyan bago ito ilabas at ipasada sa publiko kasama ang jeepneys, tricycles at buses.

SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD NAGPASA NG 2 KEY LEGISLATIONS

– Sa isang special session ngayong hapon, ang Sangguniang Panlungsod ay nagpalabas ng 2 mahalagang resolusyon na magpapatibay at magpapatupad sa resolusyon ng Metro Manila Council upang pigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19: (1) isara ang mga mall at kagaya nitong establisimiento at (2) magpatupad ng 8PM- 5AM curfew sa lungsod ng Taguig.

– Pinapaalalahanan ang lahat ng kababayan na manatili na lamang sa kanilang bahay hanggang kinakailangan at iwasan ang mga hindi mahalagang lakad. Ang Local Government at National Government ay patuloy na nagta-trabaho para sa all-of-government approach upang manatiling ligtas ang siyudad at ating bansa. Kami ay umaapela sa lahat na makiisa at maging mapagmatyag.
