Annual Breast Milk Letting Activity at the Taguig City University Auditorium
The local government of Taguig, in partnership with the Philippine General Hospital, conduct the annual breast milk letting activity at the Taguig City University Auditorium last August 08.
A number of 250 mothers responded to donate their own milk for the human milk bank that will facilitate the availability of human milk especially during emergency situations.
The city of Taguig will also launch its own human milk bank at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital that will accommodate mothers that want to help and donate their breast milk to benefit mothers and their infants.
During the event, participants are given lectures and conseling on proper child care and the importance of breastfeeding for babies.
In attendance were Vice Mayor “Ricardo” Ading Cruz Jr., City Councilors Jimmy Labampa, Rodil Marcelino, and Ome Tanyag, together with Taguig City Health Office OIC Dr. Isaias Ramo, City Nutrition Office Head Ms. Julie Bernabe, Luzon Health City Health Program Officer Dr. Alyn Nagi, Dr. Elaine Kho of the PGH-Human Milk Bank,and TPDH-OIC Chief of Hospital Dra. Anna Richie Quilatan.
