2015 Consumer Welfare Month Opening Ceremony


The local government of Taguig joined the 2015 Consumer Welfare Month Opening ceremony last October 01 in Pasay City.

The Department of Trade and Industry and the National Consumer Affairs Council (NCAC) kicked off the Consumer Welfare Month celebration anchored on the theme, “Consumer Protection in the ASEAN Economic Community.”

The Department of Energy supports the National Consumer Affairs Council (NCAC) in celebrating the National Consumer Welfare Month, held every October, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1098.

The NCAC is created by Republic Act 7394, otherwise known as the “Consumer Act of the Philippines,” to improve the management, coordination and effectiveness of the nation’s consumer programs.

In attendance were Taguig’s Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) Officer-in-charge Atty. Fanella Joy Panga and City Tourism and Trade Office Head Zaida Ignacio representing the city during the event.
