Alternative Learning System (ALS) Graduation at BJMP


Thirty BJMP inmates can now pursue college and change their lives after completing the Alternative Learning System program.

A simple graduation ceremony was held at the BJMP Compound, Camp Bagong Diwa attended by DepEd TAPAT ALS Education Program Supervisor Daisy Mataac, Jail Warden Jundelina Jagunap, Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Head Ms. Ramonita Jordan, ALS instructors, and jail wardens.

The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a laddered, modular non-formal education program in the Philippines for dropouts in elementary and secondary schools, out-of-school youths, non-readers, working Filipinos and even senior citizens.

The city government of Taguig under Mayor Lani Cayetano continues to support the program knowing the importance of education to city development and progress.
