Global Hand Washing Day

Officials of the local government of Taguig joined executives from the Manila Water for the celebration of the Global Hand Washing Day on October 13 at the Market Market activity center.

Manila Water Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Manila Water group in the Philippines, has gathered twice as many people from last year’s celebration through a week-long series of events for the 2014 Global Hand Washing Day.

Together with Unilever, the officials acknowledged the importance of washing of hands using soap in order to effectively prevent diseases. The event was also held simultaneously in Laguna, Pampanga, Metro Manila, Cebu, and Boracay. The nationwide campaign reached over 14,000 people.
