“Go Fly Kite” comes back to light up BGC skies anew
Taguig to host award-winning kite show
Due to insistent public demand, the award-winning international kite show “Go Fly Kite” is returning to Bonifacio Global City to serenade the night sky and to wow spectators like it did last year.
But this time around, they are making more than one appearance as they start performing December 17 and will continue up to the 21st in two venues in Taguig City.
The event is once again hosted by the Taguig local government, which made the international exhibition possible last year as one of the activities for Yolanda victims.
The event is held at 34th corner 9th Avenue at the Bonifacio Global City from December 17-20. For the final day on December 21, enthusiasts and the general public can proceed to the TLC Park in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
Established in Singapore in 1998, “Go Fly Kite” was founded by radio-controlled plane hobbyist Michael Lim.
Lim wanted to give hobbyists the chance to experience the feeling of flying remote-controlled planes and helicopters at a much lower cost. The merger of traditional kites and radio control technology made this possible.
The first radio-controlled kite was launched in Singapore back in 2000, and a year later the company Go Fly Kite was established.
Starting December 17, spectators can witness a dazzling display of lights and sounds which everyone will enjoy.
The award-winning Go Fly Kite introduces a flying experience like never before as it is remote controlled and has LED lights for a colorful kite-flying experience.
“This event is a sure-fire way for enjoyment. With this, we will bring Christmas cheer with the lights and sounds from the kite show,” said Mayor Lani Cayetano.
The event starts at 6 o’clock in the evening and the local government of Taguig invites everyone to watch the kite show. ###
