Groundbreaking ceremony of the New Supreme Court Complex
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano joins President Benigno Aquino III and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the future site of the Supreme Court Complex and in the ceremonial signing of the Contract to Sell between the Supreme Court and the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA).
The new Supreme Court Complex located at the former Philippine Army Security Escort Group in Fort Bonifacio is expected to be completed by 2019.
The 21,463 sq. m property will have a nine-storey building with 51 office spaces and a six-storey parking building with 600 parking slots.
Many institutions have expressed their intentions to transfer to Taguig.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Insurance Commission (IC) have announced plans to transfer their headquarters in Taguig’s Business District- Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
The Philippine Chamber of Commerce Incorporated (PCCI) and the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) have relocated to BGC.
Top academic institutions such as the University of the Philippines and De La Salle College will soon open separate campuses in BGC.
