NaPolCom – 21st National Crime Prevention Week

The National Police Commission (Napolcom), in partnership with the city government of Taguig, celebrated the 21st National Crime Prevention Week during its kick-off ceremony on September 1, at the Barangay Ususan multipurpose covered court.

The first week of September of every year is being observed as the National Crime Prevention Week by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 461, dated August 31, 1994.

This year the theme of the Crime Prevention Week is “Krimen ay Tuldukan, Karapatan ay Igalang” and the main focus is the Community and Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) System.

The CSOP is aimed at building collaborative partnership between the law enforcement agencies, local executives and community, promoting peace and order, ensuring public safety, as well as strengthening the local government capability for the effective delivery of basic services to the citizenry.
