Red tape-free processing of business transactions key to continued investment

The establishment of new businesses in Taguig City only indicates investors’ confidence in the local government of Taguig.

“We assure our investors that we are ready to meet their demands and we will make it easier for them to put up and maintain their businesses in our city. We believe that getting rid of red tape will attract continued investment”, said the 29-year-old mayor of Taguig City Lani Cayetano.

Taguig will soon flaunt its tallest mixed-used skyscraper following the groundbreaking last Thursday (March 24) of the Grand Hyatt Hotel at the New Central Business District of Bonifacio Global City.

At 66-storeys high and 100,000 square meters above ground, The Grand Hyatt Hotel will be comparable to the iconic structures of modern countries and cities like the U.S., Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong and Japan.

“We are in high spirits because the construction of Grand Hyatt Hotel will further boost the dynamic industry in Taguig. We are thankful that Taguig is becoming the popular choice of most businessmen. We want to reciprocate this trust by introducing reforms to eliminate corruption and red tape,” assured Mayor Cayetano.

She added that the Federal Land Tower Development will generate jobs and open opportunities for Taguig City residents. Eventually, these will benefit the country’s economy.

The 66-storey building will house a five-star hotel, as well as residential and commercial units. The developer expects to spend as much as $300 million on the flagship facility and the first phase of the project will be completed by 2014.
