Statement ON THE VACCINATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS AND COMORBIDS

The City of Taguig is happy to announce that we are 90% done in vaccinating those in category A1 of the COVID-19 Vaccine Priority List — this includes doctors, nurses, other public and private healthcare workers, and those working in COVID-19 referral hospitals in the city.

If you belong in this category, you can still get vaccinated any time. You may reach out to the medical institution you work for, as the City has already established lines with them.

On March 31, with guidance from the DOH, we have begun simultaneous vaccination of registered A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (people with comorbidities) categories based on the DOH prioritization list and Taguig City Vaccine Task Force Board Resolution No. 1 or the Taguig Vaccination Rollout Plan.

For those who have registered but have not yet been scheduled, the Vaccine Task Force will alert you via the phone number or email you have provided once we have a schedule available. As of now, our vaccination rollout is dependent on the supply sent to us.

All vaccines currently being administered—Sinovac and AstraZeneca from the COVAX facility—are from the national government supply. For now, we will continue to schedule vaccination for Taguigueños based on deliveries by the national government.

Our LGU orders will hopefully arrive on the 3rd quarter of this year. We are expecting supplies of AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Covovax by Novovax, and Moderna.

Between the national and government supply, we assure that ALL Taguigeños will have access to free vaccination. As more vaccines come in, we will continue to schedule those who are registered in our TRACE System and have generated their QR Code. On Monday, 05 April, we will open the vaccination hotline and email for additional queries.

We urge all Taguiguenos to register and sign-up at Taguig TRACE where you will be assigned a Taguig QR Code. Taguig TRACE is available in Apple and Google Play stores, or via Web Application by logging-in at trace.taguig.gov.ph.

For those working in Taguig but are non-residents, we are reaching out to the DOH and offering our assistance in vaccination, but our national government supply is based on our current resident population. Once our LGU-procured vaccines come and the majority of our residents are fully vaccinated, the City of Taguig will offer vaccination to the non-resident workforce.

The City of Taguig reiterates the importance of vaccination, but we emphasize that vaccination is just one component in ending this worldwide pandemic. Let us continue to work together, follow health protocols, be vigilant, and continue to learn and adapt. As a community, only through an all-of-society approach, can we transition faster to the new normal.
