Taguig City set to launch 24-hour vaccination site
Bonifacio High Street Mega vaccination hub extending vaccination hours until 12 midnight this week but will ramp up to 24 hours
Heeding the call of President Duterte to open both day and night vaccination sites, the Taguig City Government is launching a 24-hour mega vaccination site at the High Street Vaccination Hub in BGC, Brgy. Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. This will cater exclusively to government and economic frontliners in the A4 category.
This is part of the efforts to extend vaccination hours to accommodate those who cannot get vaccinated due to the nature of their work.
“There should be not much concern about workers getting vaccinated beyond curfew hours. Since by appointment naman lahat ng vaccination in Taguig, they can simply show their appointment slip to the enforcers if needed,” explained Mayor Lino Cayetano.
The Mega Vaccination Hub Bonifacio High Street will start its midnight operations this week until the city reaches its goal of opening it up 24/7.
Taguig TRACE allows Taguig residents and workers to schedule their own date, time, and place of vaccination. For those who are not able to go online, there are Taguig TRACE kiosks stationed in all barangays and selected malls around the city.
“Vaccination should be fast, safe and accessible. Those three things are important to us when we strategize our rollout plan. I encourage all our citizens to sign up and register so that by November, with supply from the national government, we will be able to finish vaccination in Taguig and open up to the rest of NCR,” said Mayor Lino.
As of June 26, the City has so far vaccinated a total of 238,853 individuals across the A1-A4 categories and targets to vaccinate 680,000 eligible individuals by the end of the year.
With vaccination and continued adherence to health protocols, the City can accelerate its transition to the new normal—bring back jobs and livelihood to citizens, fully open schools and churches, and lead in the new future. ###
