TAGUIG CITY’S MASSIVE A4 WORKERS VACCINATION ROLLOUT OVERSHOOTS DAILY TARGET IN THREE DAYS

City hits 8k, 10k, and 11k vaccinees daily with almost ‘Zero Dropout’ rate; Aggressive vaccination efforts to accelerate the city into the New Normal

The City of Taguig’s vaccination turn out was a lot more than the expected 6,800 daily target. In the last three days, the City almost doubled and has hit 8K, 10K, and 11K vaccinations with ‘ ‘ rate.

This was due to the increased number of people who want to be vaccinated, the ease of booking and scheduling, and also the hard work of the city’s healthcare workers. The local government of Taguig continues to be aggressive in its vaccination efforts, as it recently commenced its massive vaccination rollout for A4 Workers.

With the overwhelming response in the vaccination efforts of Taguig, the local government sincerely extends its apologies to citizens who underwent a longer waiting time than the expected 60 to 90 minute queueing for their vaccination. This is because of the increased volume of people are getting vaccinated in all the 12 vaccination sites in the city. Taguig City ensures despite this all those who are scheduled for vaccination will receive their jabs on the day of their schedule.

Taguig City aims to inoculate all Taguig A4 workers while still prioritizing A1, A2 and A3 categories which are healthcare workers, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities respectively.

“The city is happy that A4 Workers are finally allowed to get vaccinated while we are still prioritizing A2 or senior citizens and A3 or persons with comorbidity. From our perspective, it is important that, as people are going back to their workplaces and livelihoods, they get vaccinated fast and soon,” said Mayor Lino Cayetano.

The local government has provided 12 vaccination sites stationed in strategic areas in Taguig, Home Vaccination for bedridden family members, Vaccination Buses which are stationed in more accessible locations to various communities and groups in the city. Taguig’s fast, safe, and accessible vaccination rollout is part of its aggressive drive to inoculate 680,000 eligible Taguigeños by the end of the year.

“The supply of vaccines has been good and steady and the city is grateful to the national government for the continuous shipment of vials,” noted the Taguig City Mayor. As more vaccine supplies arrive, Mayor Lino Cayetano plans to increase its target from 6,800 to 8,000 vaccinations daily.

As of June 12, a total of 143,512 Taguigeños and workers in Taguig who are part of the A1, A2, A3, and A4 categories have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.
