Taguig enrolls over 1000 new families to Philhealth
Bringing to 6,000 total of family beneficiaries
A total of 1,250 families have just been added to the list of Philhealth beneficiaries under Taguig City’s sponsorship. This brings to over 6,500 the number of families that the city enrolled in Philhealth since 2012 to avail of the full health insurance coverage.
This development is part of the local government’s efforts to expand the range of health benefits received by its constituents.
“This program will give our constituents access to quality health services. We believe that a healthy Taguigeño can contribute to a better workforce in Taguig,” Mayor Lani Cayetano said.
She added that the local government will subsidize the Philhealth premium amounting to P2,400 per family.
The beneficiaries, totaling to more than 6,000 families, were chosen through the Taguig City Integrated Survey System (TCISS) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
“In Taguig, every Taguigeño experience quality health care. This is one of the many benefits that our constituents enjoy, a testament that their hard-earned taxes are put to good use,” the local chief executive said.
Earlier, the city acquired a new Computed Tomography (CT) scan for its primary medical facility, the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital. A newly renovated Tuberculosis Directly-Observed Treatment Shortcourse (TB-DOTS) clinic was also opened recently. ####
FILIPINO VERSION:
