Taguig hospital gets another upgrade

After upgrading its ICU facility last June, the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital (TPDH) will complete the improvement of its Radiology Department before the end of the year.

The City has purchased a Siemens Somatom 16 Slice CT Scan, a Digital X-Ray and a Digital Mobile X-Ray. The new machines are set to be installed this December, and will provide much better health care service to the city’s constituents.

Compared to the previous CT Scan machine, the new CT Scan provides faster, high-diagnostic image quality delivered with just a single click. Its results are reliable and accurate because of a high-quality image which rapidly turns data into a diagnosis. It has also an advanced visualization feature for oncology and vascular assessment.

A computerized tomography (CT) scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images, or slices, of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside one’s body. CT scan images provide more detailed information than plain X-rays do.

A CT scan has many uses, but is particularly well-suited to quickly examine people who may have internal injuries from car accidents or other types of trauma. It can be used to visualize nearly all parts of the body and is used to diagnose disease or injury as well as to plan medical, surgical or radiation treatment.

“With the installation of the new CT scan we assure that our patients will be given accurate results of their examinations and they will not look for other hospitals just to acquire this type of service,” said TPDH Officer in Charge Dr. Anna Richie Quilatan.

Aside from this, the TPDH also procured other additional equipment like the ABG Machine which tests blood gas and an Ultrasound Machine.

“This latest upgrade of TPDH’s medical facilities is a testament to our determination to give Taguigeños the best service that their local government can deliver,” Mayor Lani said.

The city government of Taguig has been expanding the scope and improving the quality of service at the TPDH by acquiring new equipment and renovating its facilities. When the TPDH ICU became fully operational earlier this year, brand new medical equipment were added including additional beds both for newborns and adults

Other significant improvements in health-care services under the present administration include the improved conditions of the 31 Barangay Health Centers, which are all PhilHealth-accredited;  the establishment of four (4) Super Health Centers, which offer 24/7 services; the implementation of door-to-door delivery of maintenance medicines for diabetes, asthma and hypertension; the citywide eye checkup and distribution of prescription glasses to senior citizens and students; the implementation of “Doctors On Call” program  (designed for quick response to emergency calls or text through hotline 0917-8210896); the brand new TPDH ICU; and free home-care nursing services for bedridden patients. ###

TPDH Radiology department may mga bagong hi-tech equipment

Matapos buksan ang kanilang ICU facility sa publiko noong nakaraang Hunyo, nagdagdag ng mga makabagong kagamitan tulad ng CT scan ang Radiology Department ng Taguig-Pateros District Hospital (TPDH) bilang bahagi ng upgrading ng pagamutan.

Bumili ang lokal na pamahalaan ng mga medikal na kagamitan kagaya ng Siemens Somatom 16 Slice CT Scan, Digital X-Ray, at Digital Mobile X-Ray. Ang mga nasabing makina ay i-install ngayong Disyembre sa TPDH para magbigay ng mas magandang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa mga Taguigeño.

Ang bagong CT Scan ay mas mabilis at mayroong high-diagnostic image quality kumpara sa naunang CT Scan machine.

Ginagamit ang Computerized Tomography (CT) scan upang makita ang iba’t ibang anggulo ng mga buto, ugat, at soft tissues ng katawan ng tao  na mas detalyado kumpara sa X-ray.

Maraming gamit ang CT Scan, subalit ang mabilis na pagsusuri sa mga taong posibleng nagtamo ng  internal injury dahil sa mga aksidente at iba pang uri ng trauma ang pangunahing pakinabang na makukuha rito. Maaari itong gamitin upang makita ang halos lahat ng parte ng katawan at upang matukoy  ang sakit o injury para sa pagpaplano ng medical, surgical o radiation treatment.

“Tinitiyak po namin sa aming mga pasyente na sa tulong ng ating bagong CT Scan ay mas tiyak at mas mapabibilis ang mga resulta ng kanilang medical examination. Hindi na rin nila kailangan mangamba at maghanap pa ng ibang ospital para lamang makakuha ng ganitong serbisyo,” wika ni Dr. Anna Richie Quilatan, ang officer in charge ng TPDH.

Maliban dito, nagdagdag din ng iba pang kagamitan ang TPDH gaya ng ABG machine na nagsusuri ng blood gas at Ultrasound machine.

“Ang panibagong pagpapahusay ng mga medikal na pasilidad ng TPDH ay patunay ng aming determinasyon na mabigyan ng pinakamagandang serbisyo ang mga Taguigeño,” wika ni Mayor Lani.

Hangarin ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Taguig na sa tulong ng ng mga bagong kagamitan at pagpapabuti ng pasilidad sa loob ng TPDH, ay mas lalo pang maiangat ang kalidad ng serbisyo. Naglagay din ng karagdagang kagamitan gaya ng mga kama para sa sanggol at matatanda ang TPDH sa kanilang ICU noong buksan nila ang pasilidad sa publiko noong nakaraang Hunyo.

Ang ilan pa sa mahahalagang pagbabago sa health care services sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Mayor Lani ay ang pag-aayos ng 31 Barangay Health Center  na mga  Philhealth accredited na ngayon; ang pagtatayo ng apat na Super Health Centers na nagbibigay ng 24/7 na serbisyo; ang door-to-door delivery ng mga maintenance medicine para sa diabetes, hika, at altapresyon; ang city-wide eye check-up at pamimigay ng mga may gradong salamin sa mata para sa mga senior citizen at mga estudyante; ang Doctors On Call program na kung saan mabilis na natutugunan ang mga emergency call at text ng mga residente sa hotline  0917-821-0896; ang bagong bukas na TPDH ICU; at ang libreng home care nursing services para sa mga pasyenteng hirap nang bumangon. ###
